Engels geboortegedicht: ‘On the day that you were born’

Gibt es etwas schöneres
als dem Leben zu verhelfen
sich auszubreiten?

Vier Füße, groß bis mittelklein
gingen lange Zeit allein...
Jetzt gehen bald auf Schtitt und Tritt
zwei winzig kleine Füße mit

— ingezonden door Ron de Haan

So sweet and neat
and such petite little feet!
This precious baby boy
makes our lives complete

With the help of God
and the love between two people
is born today....
