Engels geboortegedicht: ‘You little wonder’

Whose eyes sparkle like the stars?
Whose smiles outshines the sun?
Whose skin is soft as moon-glow?
Our precious little one!

If I gave you diamonds and pearls
Would you be a happy boy or a girl
If I could, I would give you the world
But all I can do is just offer you my love

Now that we are a Mom and Dad
we want to make it known
that we're convinced no baby
could be sweeter than our own!

A sweet little treasure
sent from above
A coo and a smile
wrapped up in love
