Engels geboortegedicht: ‘Before you were born’

She sleeps through almost every sound
even when it's screaming loud and clear
but she wakes up and smiles at a friendly voice
if it whispers softly in her ears

He who set the stars in space
Came by this way today
He left a tiny bundle
Within our hearts to stay

He brought us a miracle
And from the very start
He gave us love unspeakable
Boundless love within our heart

What began as only two of us
For all the world to see
By the miracle of adoption
We became a family!

We are all "two" happy
to announce the arrival of....

A little boy, so beautifull
So perfect, tiny and small
Thursday you came into my arms
And everything became wonderfull

Your big blue eyes, they touched me
As the brightness of the light
You are a new born happy star
That twinkles in the night

I hope your future will be lovely
Lacking every sorrow
May you grow to be a big boy
And make a little rainbow
