When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight

You stood resigned
in a garden of snow
under a black sky
the moon and stars
far away

you had to leave

May your soul rest

may you feel free
at last

May love find you
in your new garden
wherever
that may be

God looked around His garden
and He found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face
He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest
Gods garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He also knew in Heaven
you would never hurt again
He saw the road was getting rough
and the hill harder to climb
So, He closed your weary eyelids
and whispered "Peace Be Thine"
It broke my heart to lose you
but you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you
the day He called you home
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane
I'd walk all the way to heaven
and bring you home again

If I die and go to heaven
I put your name on a golden star
So that all the angels can see
How much you mean to me

I never wanted it
I never chose
but now it's here
and I have to close
the doors of life
and become eternity

The mention of my child's name
may bring tears to my eyes
but it never fails to bring
music to my ears
If you are really my friend
let me hear the beautiful music of her name
it soothes my broken heart
and sings to my soul

We only part to meet again
though mighty boundless waves may sever
remembrance oft shall bring you near
and I will with you go forever
And oft at midnight's silent hour
when brilliant planets shall guide the ocean
your name shall rise to heaven's highest star
and mingle with my soul's devotion

When we lose someone
close to us
time eventually passes
and life goes on...
but the sadness
still lingers inside us

Peaceful, little white dove
Forever the symbol of Peace and Love
Untouched by human skin
Look to the rainbow growing within
A beautiful bird so innocent and white
The purest of creatures by day and by night
We will always love you, our Dove
Now you are with the angels, in the heaven above

We thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
and the days before that too

We think of you in silence
we often speak your name
all we have now are memories
and your picture in a frame

Your memory is our keepsake
with which we will never part
God had you in His keep
