to say so little
I hope they help in some small way
to ease the sense of loss
that you're experiencing today
Hold fast to your memories
to all of the cherished moments of the past
to the blessings and the laughter
the joys and the celebrations
the sorrow and the tears
They all add up to a treasure
of fond yesterdays
that you shared and spent together
and they keep the one you loved
close to you in spirit and thought
The special moments and memories in your life
will never change
They will always be in your heart, today and
forever more

Soms zit alles tegen
en lijkt iedereen tegen je te zijn
maar heus, na een tijd van regen
komt altijd weer zonneschijn

Kijk altijd naar de zonnebloem
die keert zich naar het licht
en heeft van alle bloemen
het zonnigste gezicht
En als het nu eens donker is
zo'n grijze, grauwe nacht
kijk dan weer naar die zonnebloem
die geeft je nieuwe kracht
Als je door verdriet wordt neergeslagen
Het waarom van dit aan niemand kunt vragen
Dan is het goed dat je zoveel goede mensen ziet
Ook al vinden zij de juiste woorden niet
Als je maar altijd de lente hoort zingen
Hoog boven je hoofd en diep in je hart
Als je maar weet dat herinneringen
Voortdurend een troost kunnen zijn voor je smart
